Dr. Boni Khalwale

Education

Dr. Khalwale started his primary education at Malinya Primary School where he sat his Certificate of Primary Education in the year 1974. He later joined Musingu High School for his O'level certificate.

In the year 1979, he joined Kakamega High School for A Level studies. He later joined the University of Nairobi for a bachelor's degree in Doctor of Medicine and graduated in 1987.

Political Career

Dr. Khalwale joined active politics in 2002 when he vied for Ikolomani Parliamentary seat and won with a landslide victory. He served the Ikolomani constituents for two terms before vying for the Kakamega Senator in 2013. In 2022, he also vied for senatorial seat and won. He is the current Senator for Kakamega County.

Bony Mtetezi! Dr. Khalwale is known for his fight against oppressive rule. He has always stood by the common mwananchi for justice.

Devolution

Since the promalgation of the Consititution is 2010, Senator Khalwale has been the champion for devolution of resources. His efforts has seen an increase in the allocation of funds from the national government to the county governments.
